I have visited the hamlet of Sai in northwestern France where the de Sais came from, by the way, and have a bit of its history as well - it is said to date back to, or before, Roman times. I am looking for the "original" Mathew Seay and where he came from, as well as factual information about his descendants. I have amassed a lot of info from others (theories, opinions and a few hard facts here and there) over the years but the linkages are still fuzzy when it comes to the early years of the Seays in America, and I still haven't found a convincing "leap" back to the old country - although Sandy Seay argues his case well for a link to Ireland.
