Posted by Bill Seay I also have some info about Guillaume de Sai (or William de Say)and his participation in the invasion of England by William the Conqueror, some of his descendants and the Sai and Say lines in England and France. I have visited the hamlet of Sai in northwestern France where the de Sais came from, by the way, and have a bit of its history as well - it is said to date back to, or before, Roman times. What do you know? Bill

I am looking for the "original" Mathew Seay and where he came from, as well as factual information about his descendants. I have amassed a lot of info from others (theories, opinions and a few hard facts here and there) over the years but the linkages are still fuzzy when it comes to the early years of the Seays in America, and I still haven't found a convincing "leap" back to the old country - although Sandy Seay argues his case well for a link to Ireland.
