Need info on origin of William Thornton Smith, circa 1745-49 in Amelia/Prince Edward counties. He was one of first Pr. Edward landowners in 1745 on Sandy River(400 Ac.) along with John Smith (possibly related). He lived on Flatt Creek, Amelia County at time of his death, Aug. 1749 and was married to Ann Smith. She later married a George Smith in Amelia Co.
Any help appreciated.
