Charles HH Smith was in Amelia County, Flat Creek area, in the 1750-1780 time frame, where he married Elizabeth Hendrick(s), dau of John Hendrick and Tabitha Hurt. Charles served in the French/Indian War, prob 1756-1758, Amelia Co. Regiment. Charles was born abt 1735, not sure where, but any info on his origin, relatives, etc. would be greatly appreciated. He is likely related to a William Thornton Smith of Lunenburg/Amelia Co., since his son was named after William Thornton Smith and this name carried down thru several generations. Any help on Charles HH Smith or William Thornton Smith is appreciated.
