Thank you for the information. I have Mr. Hurt's book and have noticed that he lists Macon Hurt as a son of Zaccheus Hurt, based on the fact that Charles Hurt(admittedly a son of Zaccheus Hurt) witnessed a deed to Macon Hurt in 1812. That's pretty thin: no one seems to know when or where Zaccheus Hurt died and whether he had an estate opened or will probated, or a family settlement deed executed to transfer his land at his death.
