Great to hear from a cousin. Jesse was b. in Amelia Co., VA according to his 3rd marriage in 1856 in Mercer Co., KY. He died in Mercer Co., KY Oct. 23, 1864 and is buried in the old Lester-Patterson Cemetery which was a part of his farm. I grew up about 2 miles from there. I descend from Jesse's son, Obadiah, and his son, Erasmus, and his son, Marion, George, and me. If you search on google for "mercer co., ky" rootsweb
you will find the Mercer Co. website. On the front page is a topic of Family Trees. Click on that and go to the Lester tree. This is good information. I shared all I knew with Dick and he shared with me. Who do you think Jesse's father was? Where did your Ollie grow up? Dick has an old Lester picture on rootsweb but it is of grandchildren of Jesse. I am not aware of any picture of Jesse or his children. Hope to hear from you.
