Bryant Fannin (or Bryan Fanning, or other variation) presumably lived below Deep
Creek and owned 280-acres at the head of Burchen Swamp. I haven’t been able to
place this “Deep Creek” and “Burchen Swamp” on a map. He was allegedly married
about 1725 to his wife, Elizabeth. Her maiden name is presumed “Middleton.”
Estimated dates for Elizabeth are: b. about 1714 and died about 1772. Bryan
Fannin was born probably about 1698 and died in 1765. Some of the offspring
settled in Wythe County, VA and some in North Carolina. Children of Bryant and
Elizabeth Fannin were:
Bryant (b.1730-1767)
Laughlin (b. 1731-1806) Descendants to North Carolina and Georgia.
Phillip (b. 1733-)
Achilles (b. 1735-1812) Descendants to Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana.
John "Jehu" (b. 1737-1813)
Judith (b. 1739-)
Mary (b.1742-)
Anna (b.1746-)
Elizabeth "Betsy" (b. 1748-)
Margaret "Peggy" (b. 1750-)
Frances "Frankey" (b. 1752-)
Rebecca (b.1754-)
Laughlin and Elizabeth ( ) Fannin.
