Dear Greta;
Yes I have a lot on the Jenkins, but there were many lines. Mine was from Capt. Henry Jenkins, 1650's settled in Virginia, his son was Capt. Henry Jenkins Jr(1680 -1720), m Mary Curle, their son was John, m. Ann ?, Then Maj. Col. James Jenkins, m. Rebeccah (Overton) Booker, Then Richard m. Catherine Nalle in KY, then William Ed. I (Ky,TEXAS, Ill>, then William Ed II.(Ill.>Canada, to Grant Jenkins (my grandfather) who went to Canada, and etc for another few generations. If you can connect to this line I can give you a lot of details. I am living in Moscow Russia now, but if you can show a connection to that Elizabeth City Va. line the likelyhood is that you are connected. If you are black or white, it doesn.t make much difference, because in this line, especially in the first four generations, there was a very large number of slaves in the family and many of them had the Jenkins name, usually because they were. I know of about 6 lines of Blacks from this line. I'm white.
Brock
