Hi Lynnie. I did do a risk assessment for airbrushing tattoos whilst in the UK but cannot think where it is.
Basically you need to write down all activtities and issues of your set up in a column. Write in the next column, what risk/s are associated with that. The 3rd column had a number on a scale of 1 - 10 of the liklihood of it happening (one being low, 10 being likely) and the 4th column had how harmful or dangerous it would be should it occur, again on a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being death, 1 being slight injury). the final column then said what you were doing to minimise the risk. here is an example:
column 1: leads to compressor or other power equipment present.
column 2: could cause trips.
column 3: 3
column 4: 4
column 5: tape down any exposed lead which the public or myself have access to.
You will be surprised what you need to include. I.e.
tattoo ink being sprayed
could cause staining to clothing
3
1
cover over any clothing in vicinity of skin area being tattooed.
If I do find my copy will scan it and send it to you, or will try to find it on a word document somewhere.
I did heck knows how many risk assessments when I was working at college and this format was used by everyone. Let me know if it helps
