you should first use a maroon color to neutralise the tattoo color with a light dusting of the color then choose a skincolor with the same undertone as the subjects skin color and apply this in light dustings to cover the maroon and then apply light dustings of an adjusting color, red yellow or blue to make the final adjustments to the color.
do not try to opaque the tattoo out with one color or it will look flat and chalky.
