Personally, I think you need to turn up the pressure as I have just used the foundations with no problems at all - where are you in the world?

The foundation is great and goes on flawlessly. It was the first time that I had used it and I was really impressed - no thinning down needed, however, if you want to try, thin it down with water as it is a water based formula.
