Try cutting a fur like mask out of card (a few fine and thick points) and spray and move the mask backwards (at the same time as spraying) this, apparently, creates texture! Use different tones of the colour you are using. (My hubby did this effect on a course, I couldn't get the hang of it!) Try it on paper first to see if it works.
