suggestions on "fake fur" looking face paint ?

Hi everybody,

I am asked to do a face painting, but haven't got a clue on how to create a fake fur look on a face.
The person is dressed up as a bear, and only part of her sticking out of the costume is her face.
I want to use the airbrush to accomplish the result as I am not good at handling a paintbrush at all !
So if you have any tips on what I could use as "stencil" to create a fake fur look, please reply !
My client is coming this saturday 2nd, so I am running out of time...
