Words don't shudder
at 3 A.M. when motion of
thought stream through
a funnel of broken beer
bottles and small wonders
that never seems to matter
much in the hazy warmth of
the sun
in darkness-Watched
Barfly 200 times and
faithfully kept my liver
anointed with nutty juice
for weeks
and still
the silence that we
call faith sickens me.
