He is a good player, I don't think any Trinity fans could say otherwise. He was originally with us when Ernie was manager and we won the League cup, the next seaon (1996-1997) we got to the final against Altrincham which we lost 2-1. Both of our central defenders (Timons and Ellender) then left and went to (surprise, surprise) Altrincham. It wasn't a good atmosphere when they returned to play against Trinity. While Ellenders career went up, Timons went down, he ended up playing for Ilkeston and then later for Stalybridge before coming back to Trinity for 2002/2003 season. He was at first totally unfit and total crap. The manager perservered and once he got his fitness and confidence back, went on to make a great partnership with Neil Allison in the defence.
Chris is a great player, I just didn't think that he would leave Trinity again, but then money counts when he's involved.
