Hello all,
My name is Liam Blackburn and I am a member of Wrexham Supporters Trust. I am trying to get together teams for a 5 a side tournament on August 1st. As you may or may not know the situation at Wrexham is dire. To cut a long story short, our chairman is a property developer and wants to move us to an 8,000 all seater ground with only 2 stands. We have a 15,000 stadium, one of the best in the division and we've been playing there since 1872 and have hosted many Welsh internationals. The chairman owns the club and the ground, he has lied to us for two years but has admitted he has no interest in football and wants to build a b and q where the current ground is.
Anyway, I am looking to get teams in to raise money for the trust. The cost is £35 per team and you can enter more teams if you like. Its at NEWI college, behind the back of the ground.
