Norma Jean. Also on the show was Kitty Wells and Johnny Wright and local entertainer Jimmie Skinner, who had a record shop in Cincinnati. He was the opening act and consequently the first country artist I ever saw in person. Ironically, when Jimmie died we were in the process of recording a duet album of his songs. We were working quite a few shows and bluegrass festivals together and thought we could move some. Ernest Tubb told me he patterned his shop after Jimmies.
