Mike and I went through our ups and downs. We did not like one another for the longest, and ended up working together out of necessity. After actually sitting down and talking to Mike, and with Jeff Daniels as kind of a mediator to get us to that point, we both found that much of our dislike from one another was sparked by outside people stirring the pot (shocking in independent wrestling, right?). After Mike and I cleared the air, we really enjoyed working together. I even booked a few of the Trinity Lane shows towards the end for Mike. Mike was definitely quirky. However, if you took the time to talk to him, a very knowledgeable guy with some great stories. When Mike would run shows in KY, he would bring me in to work with Vic Da Bruiser or Wolfie, and we'd always have a good time. Mike would contact me sporadically when he had a fair show or something lined up. Sadly, in recent years, dates never aligned and I hadn't heard much from Mike. I'd hear through the grapevine that his health wasn't the best, and I was always rooting for him to kick out. Sadly, this time he didn't. RIP Mike. Once the air was clear, you were always good to me and gave a young guy a shot. I can't ask for ANYTHING more.
