1) "Private Eye" Slade Porter d. Tyler Matrix by pinfall in a competitive opener.
Porter is a TWE favorite despite some questionable means in the ring at times. He was sporting a trench coat and magnifying glass. Matrix is an Alabama guy who I believe moved to the Louisville area to train at OVW. Matrix always brings the fight but Slade battled back and picked up the win here.
2) Kerry Awful d. Billie Starkz after a piledriver.
Crux has an Office comprised of James C Businessman(who bears a CRAZY resemblance to Kerry Awful without his mask....), James' assistant H.R., and Luchaversal Champion Nick Iggy seems to have an alliance with them as well. H.R. came to the ring and announced that James C Businessman had an announcement for Kerry Awful. James appeared on the screen and told Kerry he had to beat Billie, a young blue haired girl, if he wanted to keep his job and continue to be able to provide for his family....and...he would have to beat Billie by piledriver. Fans booed and chanted "HR Sucks!"
Awful reluctantly accepted the terms. Starkz put up a fight but Awful painstakingly finished her off with a piledriver for the win. People rushed to check on Starkz as Awful sat dejected by his actions after having his hand forced by the Office.
3) Lutha X d. "Hot Tamale" Daniel Perez
Lutha had the size advantage big time here, which is something the much smaller Perez is used to competing against I'm sure. X put Perez away and Cabana Man Dan came out to help Perez up, giving him a drink from a coconut.
4) Uncle Byff w/ Hannah d. "Amish Gentleman" Levi Everett
The monster Byff initially seemed to underestimate Everett who got some early advantages and did a "Churn the Butter" arm bar. These guys slugged it out and the power and experience of Byff eventually proved to be too much. Byff continued his attack and took out 4 or 5 more guys that ran in to try to stop his destruction.
The crowd chanted "Please Come Back" at Levi.
5) The Smoking Buds(Cody & David Morton) d. IFHY(Alice Crowley & Johnathan Wolf)
The 2nd generation Morton boys from Middle TN flashed their experience and cohesiveness in a competitive match with the always exciting(and 3rd generation) Wolf and his young partner Randi West trainee Crowley. Buds got rid of Wolf and capitalized on the numbers vs Crowley.
Juicy Jimmy Felcher called Ryan Dookie to the ring. Dookie came out with his odd manager Lemonjuice McGee. Felcher said Dookie stopped calling him to ride with him to bookings and apparently Dookie has moved on and found other friends like McGee. Dookie said he was caught off guard by the public confrontation and that they could have talked about this as friends. Felcher left and Dookie's opponent entered...the always obnoxious King Bailey Blake.
6) King Bailey Blake d. Ryan Dookie after interference from Juicy Jimmy Felcher.
The bigger, more experienced, and fan favorite Dookie controlled most of the match until Felcher came out and sprayed something in his eyes. Bailey capitalized and stole the victory. Felcher hit the ring afterwards to make sure he delivered his message to Dookie. Lemonjuice McGee bailed and appeared to be running away from his friend and client...but quickly returned with a kendo stick to save Dookie from having to kiss Blake's foot.
Felcher & Blake challenged Dookie & McGee to a Kiss My Foot tag match on August 1st when Crux Wrestling returns to Chattanooga as part of SCI Weekend. The challenge was accepted.
7) Kevin Giza d. "The Mongrel" Britt Jackson w/ Sean Thompson
Thompson(aka TWE ring announcer Steve Dave) introduced his monster Jackson...and a monster he is, complete with head tattoo. Giza is a smaller Midwest guy who uses athleticism and heart to overcome opponents of all sizes. Giza took a beating but found his opening and went all out to make the most of it, coming off the top to Jackson on the apron and finishing him off for the win. Thompson threw a fit like a baby in the ring after the match and started to dress down Jackson...before he was quickly put in his place by the monster.
8) Nick Iggy d. Cabana Man Dan to retain his Bizzaro Lucha Luchaversal championship.
Iggy offered Dan a chance to join the Office and just lay down but Dan refused. They had a hard fought match in which Iggy came out on top.
After the match, James C Businessman made his way to the ring with HR. They bragged about what the Office had to offer Dan...paid time off, usage of a company car, opportunities to provide for his family. Righteous Jesse and Daniel Perez came to the ring to plead with Dan. Businessman pulled out a huge stack of money and said it could all be Dan's....Dan shocked everyone including his own young daughter in the crowd and took the money. Businessman appointed Dan as the Regional Manager of the Office and said Perez could be Assistant to the Regional Manager. Perez didn't have much of a say, as he was still in shock.
Businessman then said that since Jesse wanted to get involved that his punishment would be a match vs Matt Tremont and Tank on August 1st and that he could choose a partner but not one from Jesse's Southern Underground Pro... Jesse chose Kerry Awful as his partner. Businessman was furious and told his new recruits to get rid of Jesse - who turned the tables and sent them packing.
9) Chip Day vs Jaden Newman ended in a no contest after Uncle Byff attacked Newman.
These two competed in a match recently at TWE that ended in a time limit draw. They each threw everything they had at each other until Byff spoiled it, much to the dismay of the crowd.
After the match Day said he already had a match signed with B Boy for August 1st and Jaden had a match for the Crux championship vs Sage Phillips but at some point after the first weekend in August, there will be a 3rd match and there will be a winner.
Check out Crux Wrestling on Facebook or Twitter for more information on them, their training school, or their August 1st event.
