Actually during 1983 I was just 11. My brother's began taking me around the fall of 1982 and we went through summer of 87 when Watts sold the Mid South territory to Crockett.
Went to a few smaller promotions that popped up in Arkansas between 88 and 92 one called IPW that was run by Wild Bill Ash. But they were never to the level that Bill Watts had with Mid South. I only have a couple of programs left from that era and most of the matches I just made notebook notes at the matches. Also before we had a VCR I would record Mid South on my boom box on cassette tapes and listen back to the promos.
I was so excited when I moved here to Nashville TN in March of 1995 that Jarrett still had USWA going and I got to witness live the Smokey Mountain vs. USWA wars! An Old school wrestling fan just not a big fan of a lot today. Thanks for appreciating the good ole days of the sport!
