He always intrigued me too. I didn't see a tape of him for a long time, but he always interested me in the magazines, cause he was so different, even though he was basically a glam rock Gorgeous George gimmick. This may be a weird comparison, but to me he ended up being the anti Mil Mascaras. Mascaras always intrigued me too in the magazines, then when I finally saw a tape of him, I was like this is it???? What a gyp! Street was the opposite, he was great in the ring, with the different style like you mentioned. He was a perfumed dandy, but he was no shrinking violet. Didn't play a chicken shit heel. I was always amused he could be a babyface in the south with that act. He had unique and awesome charisma though, just a natural performer. I don't know that he was a truly great shooter though. Sure he was tough, and sure he knew holds that could snap bones and what not, I have no doubt. But what I mean is if you put him against the true elite great shooters, I'm not sure he'd fare that well. Then again, who knows. That's just my take on it.
