I was in attendance last night. Fairly decent crowd for Smackdown but it should of been being the WrestleMania go-home show. Several empty seats in the lower level on the hard camera side but the upper levels seemed mostly full as far as I could tell. Crowd started hot especially for Daniel Bryan then slowly fell to a normal level as the show went on. Rusev was super over which he is anyways but his Nashville connection got him some great pops. He was on the heel side for the closing dark match but he was really a face with Corbin drawing the heat. Crowd heat started to drop in the 8-man match. AJ & Nak got the pops you would expect. Charlotte & Asuku were over as was Bobby Roode's entrance. Most everyone stayed for the Mixed Match Challenge Championship. Best match up till this point. The Miz got more of a babyface reaction than a heel one. The exodus begin at the start of 205 live with half the audience walking out on Kenta, Mascara Dorada & Tozawa..err, I mean Hideo Itami, Gran Metalik & Tozawa. I was disappointed that they moved Mark Andrews vs. Drew Gulak till next week but no one else seemed to care. Half of the half that was left departed during the Nese vs. Pierce match leaving a couple thousand or so for the match of the night, Buddy Murphy vs. Kalisto. With only the hardcores left this match got all kinds of chants & a standing ovation when over. Really good match with some dangerous looking spots. Overall, 3 or 4 good to decent matches & some good crowd heat in spots but a flat go-home, IMO, for WrestleMania.
P.S. Saw where ol' Double J was backstage visiting. I assume preparing for the HOF with Brian James & seeing friends.
