That was at the old/original Upperman High in Baxter, Tennessee. Baxter and Cookeville are eight-miles apart on I-40 and have the classic small school vs. big school rivalry. Both are in Putnam County. I bought some Cookeville Cavalier stuff for TVD and Larry to wear at the Cookeville Goodwill. People still talk about this legendary angle in Baxter. It has to be one of Baxter's all-time top five exciting historical moments. I have no idea what the other four exciting historical moments would be. Maybe, the railroad construction and the arrival of the one-horse would be two that come to mind. Probably, the first Baxter woman to vote after her husband gave her permission and the first black man that walked through town and lived. Those four and the Baxter invasion of TVD and Larry Goodman.
