If you don't consider better attendance at the shows = more money for the promoter = more money to promote = larger crowds = better experience for all who come = the business improving for everyone; and that the more people a particular wrestler regularly brings through the doors = a reasonable increase in that wrestler's payday, then continue to do nothing for nothing.
If a wrestler brings a lot of people in for his shows, then that wrestler should ask to up his payday or for a percentage. The promoter will see this as a business proposition. If he wants the draw, he will have to pay more for that wrestler.
If a wrestler doesn't bring anyone in the door, and the business continues to barely get by... no one does well.
