Personally, I feel that if everyone cared more about what they are doing, (and I hate this word, but it's true) TEAMWORK would be much better.
If you like what you're doing, you'll promote it your own way. Regardless of being a 'promoter'.
In the business world, we have marketing specialist, who's job it is to 'promote' and 'advertise' - that doesn't mean they don't expect their employees to say good things about the company.
The happier the employees, the calmer the atmosphere, the more word spreads, the bigger the pay at the door.
If everyone cared - we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
