Cheryl, the promoters job is to do exactly that promote.
If he wants a wrestler/worker to go hand out or post flyers time=money. workers need gas money to do that kind of stuff, but most promoters look at it as you should do them that favor since they are letting you work on their show.
I manage Dr. Troy Eaton, we just don't go around telling people hey I am a wrestler, if they don't ask, we don't tell.
What I am saying is that you can spend thirty thousand dollars promoting and out of that thirty thousand you get a huge crowd, how much of the door will actually go to the boys?
Promoters are just running shows because they have a ring, guys that are willing to wrestle for free, and earn a "quick buck".
Promoters put a guy in the ring who has had little to no training at all and give fans a "shit" show, which in turns puts a bad taste in the mouth of the fans that he promoted to get in, therefore missing the point of promoting and getting even more "new" fans.
