A crowd of over 86 people gathered in Scottsboro, AL at the National Guard Armory located at 406 S. Cedar Hill Dr to see Adam Roberts in a gauntlet match and see Patrick Bentley & Adam Jacobs defend their Ultimate NWA Tag Titles
Ultimate NWA Heavyweight champion Will Owens comes to the ring to chants of "Crybaby Will". He announces that he has handpicked opponents for Adam Roberts tonight and if any of them scores a pinfall on him he will give them a $1000 check from his own personal money. There would also be a couple of qualifying matches to be in the gauntlet.
Adam Jacobs comes out and says Patrick Bentley isn't there and they have a title defense. Owens shows Jacobs a video of a "sick" Bentley on the big screen. The fans didn't buy it and Jacobs didn't know what to think. He said since Owens is handpicking people tonight, he's going to do some handpicking himself and he introduces his partner...
Chrisjen Hayme! Hayme comes out and Owens starts to leave but holds up and takes the mic back. He invites out Corey Hollis and points out how he and Adam Jacobs had had such a good relationship and how he was just in the shadows again now that Chrisjen Hayme was back. Hollis tries to shrug it off but begins to actually think about what Owens is saying and he confronts Jacobs in the ring about it. Jacobs, Hayme, and Hollis argue as Will Owens heads to the back loving every bit of it.
1) Mike Posey d. Amos Moses in 9:14 to earn a spot in the gauntlet match.
Amos overpowered Posey early, blocking a bodyslam and hitting a huge shoulder tackle and sidewalk slam. Moses won a test of strength and stomped the hands of the much smaller Posey. Posey gains the advantage and hits a springboard dropkick, that's followed up by a load of offense. Posey doublestomps Moses and then hits a backsplash for 2. Moses is tripped up by Posey and finds himself hanging on the bottom rope where Posey launches himself over the ropes for a guillotine leg drop on the ring apron. Posey pulls Moses half out of the ring and runs to the opposite side of the ring to climb the turnbuckle. He FLIES across the ring to hit a legdrop off the top for another 2 count. Amos Moses mounts a comeback that is ended with two boots to the face out of the corner from Posey. Posey covers Moses with his feet on the ropes for the win and chance to win $1000 of Will Owens' money.
2) Rick Young d. Corey Hollis in 8:36 to earn a spot in the gauntlet.
Young is almost a hundred pounds heavier and probably half a foot taller than the underdog Hollis, who has picked up huge victories over Mike Posey and Kyle Matthews in past weeks. These guys start the match with back and forth action, each utilizing their strength of speed or power. Young gives Hollis a beating with some stiff blows and locks him in a huge bear hug. Hollis is able to shake loose and hit a leg trip pin for a two count. Young recovers and goes right back on the offense hitting a clothesline for 2, suplex for 2, and a cornersplash and spinning heel kick for 2 before locking on another bear hug. Hollis is able to battle out once again and gains the advantage after a series of clothelines and big kicks. Young is down and Hollis climbs the turnbuckle. Young pushes referee Nick Stevens(aka Harry Potter) into the ropes, which crotches Hollis on the turnbuckle. Young goes after Hollis but Hollis finds the strength to fight back and lock his legs around Young. Hollis tries to roll off for a pin but it's blocked by Young who puts him down for the three count.
First Intermission - Ultimate NWA has new shirts and will return to Scottsboro on Nov 7.
3) Jay Popular d. Kaleb Kastle in 5:22
Popular gained the early advantage after some back and forth work by these two guys who are both almost 250lbs. Popular dropped Kastle with some takedowns and followed it up with chokes and slaps to the head. Kastle hit a flying body press out of the corner onto Popular. Popular put an end to Kastle's offense with a big running knee, spinning sidewalk slam, and a wrap-around roll up for the quick and surprise 3 count!
4) Chrisjen Hayme & Adam Jacobs d. Chris Lightning and "Thunder" Ganz in 13:44 to retain the Ultimate NWA tag team titles
Jacobs and Lightning begin the match with some good alternating arm work. Lightning takes Jacobs down by his legs and is pretty proud of himself. Jacobs answers back with a big hiptoss. Lightning cowers away behind the referee and Jacobs makes a tag to Hayme, who trips Lightning as Jacobs nails him with an elbow drop. Thunder jumps in and is taken down by his arms that are wrapped around his head by Jacobs & Hayme. Lightning is back up but Hayme scoops him up for Jacobs to hit a guillotine leg drop onto from the outside. Hayme ends up on the opponents side of the ring where he finds himself outnumbered. Lightning falls and chokes Hayme on the top rope. Thunder and Lightning doubleteam Hayme, choking him in their corner. Jacobs tries to get in, which gives his opponents more time to wear Hayme down as referee Jimbo Fisher has to keep Jacobs out. Lightning hits a neckbreaker onto his knee and a suplex on Hayme. Hayme battles back and hits a powerbomb out of a suplex raise up. Lightning is able to recover and make the tag to Thunder who nails Jacobs in the corner. Jacobs falls awkwardly with his leg getting tangled in the ropes. Corey Hollis comes out to check on him and Hayme gets double suplexed. Lightning climbs the top and Hayme recovers to run up the buckle and hit a big lucha arm drag off the top. He goes to make a tag and Hollis takes it. He cleans house and sensing Lightning is behind him, throws back a huge pele kick.... that nails Adam Jacobs! Jacobs had gotten in the ring to tell Corey he could finish the match. Lightning takes Jacobs out and Thunder attempts to take down Hollis but is rolled up for the win! Referee Jimbo Fisher declared Hollis and Hayme the winners but declared that the titles still belong to Adam Jacobs & Chrisjen Hayme.
5) Adam Roberts d. Dustin Williams in about 5 seconds.
Adam said Dustin was just a little boy and that he should just go to the back. Dustin slapped him. The ref called for the bell and Roberts laid him out with a Main Event Slam.
6) Adam Roberts d. Ace Haven in about 5 seconds
Haven ran in and Roberts threw the body of Williams onto Haven. He covered them both for the win.
7) Adam Roberts d. Rick Young in about 5 seconds
Roberts tells Young he doesn't have to do this and align himself with Owens. Young slaps him and Roberts says WHAT IS IT WITH ALL THESE GIRLS SLAPPING ME!? He surprises Young with a Main Event Slam and gets the victory.
8) Adam Roberts d. Blake Rozwell in 4:13
Rozwell gets in some offense on the tiring Roberts but Roberts was able to match it. Roberts rolls him and scores the pin.
9) Adam Roberts d. Mike Posey in 5:23
Posey came in and absolutely tied Roberts in knots. He worked the leg of Roberts but couldn't match his power. Roberts hit a pedigree for the win.
10) Adam Roberts d. Orion Bishop in 5:32
The crowd was just in awe at the massive size of the intimidating monster that is Orion Bishop. Bishop completely overpowered Roberts, who was just helpless at this point. Bishop picked Roberts up and set him on the turnbuckle. Roberts kicked him back and attempted a flying bodypress but Orion Bishop CAUGHT HIM, carried him around the ring and hit a fall-away slam on Roberts, who is not a small guy by any means. Bishop hits a reverse splash off the second turnbuckle onto Roberts for a two count. Bishop measures him up for a spear but Roberts gets out of the way and Bishop hits the turnbuckle. Roberts rolls him!
Bishop recovers and levels Roberts with a huge spear. Will Owens is out next and has a huge smile on his face.
11) Adam Roberts d. Will Owens in 6: 12 to win the gauntlet and a title shot on Nov 7th!
Roberts is out of it and Owens chokes him, works his leg, and has the complete advantage. Roberts pushes Owens off and Owens hits referee Jimbo Fisher. Orion Bishop comes back out and tries to spear Roberts but hits Owens! Roberts dumps Bishop to the outside and covers Owens for the 3 count!
