Well, I agree and disagree, if this was "back in the day", AJ Styles wouldn't be a "world title" candidate. I mean I enjoy his work a lot at times, totally respect what he does do well or even great, but that's just how I see it, but times have changed.
Jerry Jarrett's view on the tables match, eh, obviously they wanted to do something at the Fairgrounds they couldn't do at the Sawmill, some type of a spectacular bump and/or finish. Now is it good guys falling off a 15 foot balcony thru a table? That's certainly debatable. But I'm seriously wondering if Jerry Jarrett has been watching SAW tv, because the Chase vs Andy fued has been going on for months there, hair match, Andy breaking a bottle over Chase' head, parking lot attacks, and more. Had several matches with each other. Doesn't Jerry know all that? After all they've done for many months now, they couldn't just go to the Fairgrounds and have a "regular" match, that would make no sense. It didn't have to be a tables match, but it did have to be something that would be a heavy price for either guy, or both. Also, Jerry's view, I mean when you think of Memphis, if asked to name one match, the first thing that pops in my mind is the Tupelo concession stand brawl. Anything but a "normal" match. Memphis wasn't really based on "normal" matches, more on wacky stips and angles and crazy characters. Trent
