A televised show appears to be more of a vanity issue than a genuine cause to grow and improve. "Shoestring" productions only manage to look bad and turn off those few prospective customers that may actually see them
The thing is though, everything is going to look weak production wise compared to the WWE, and to a lesser extent TNA. Let's face it, only a certain small percentage of fans are even going to give Indy wrestling a chance, to most fans, the WWE IS pro wrestling, the brand, nothing else even exists to them, if it does, it's the local yokels. To me that's just the way it is, and I think it's extremely difficult to change that perception. That's really a huge blow of the territories dying, and cable tv coming along, the local group was maybe no longer seen as your "big time".
Plus Steven, take a group you worked for like NWA Wildside, now NWA Anarchy, they've never been known as having much production on their tv show, but it's kinda how they survive too, doing the "shoestring" thing, and it works for them. Trent
