The really sad part? Nashville IS a hotbed of wrestling... when you compare it to almost anywhere else in the country.
The entire greater Dallas/Fort-Worth area has a grand total of two indy feds. That's in an area about three times the size of Nashville. I'm not sure if Atlanta has anything, aside from NWA Anarchy being an hour away. Some mid-sized cities, like Savannah GA, have no wrestling whatsoever.
In Nashville, there are nearly a dozen shows running within an hour's drive of the city, every single week. That's practically unheard-of in almost any other location in America. Sure, you can complain about the quality of most of those shows, and I would too. The over-kill of Tennesee promoters running the same region, often with the same cast of wrestlers, has been thoroughly discussed here. But hey, it's better than nothing, and nothing is exactly how much wrestling you can see live in most places.
