I get what you're saying, but don't totally agree Alan. I mean back when Nick Gulas was running, Nashville was his hub, but was it a hotbed? It was a territory that was held in really low regard by many in the wrestling business, that's not a secret. They used to call this area, and working style that "Tennessee shit". Gulas ran tons of shows, but didn't pay a lot. It gave a lot of guys that went on to do big things in wrestling a place to work, but wasn't the big time or big money. Not sure if that qualifies as a hotbed. When Jerry Jarrett beat Gulas, and the hub became Memphis, then Nashville was just a weekly stop on the never ending loop. Bobby Heenan called Tennessee the place people work on their way up, and on their way down.
One thing I wanted to say to Scott in my first post, is also doesn't help Nashville when you have 3 promotions running shows on Friday nights within 10 or 15 miles of each other, and none of them really promoting their shows. Trent
