An "eh" show I thought, just ok.... maybe. Is it me, or does the lighting at the Sawmill keep getting worse? Just keeps getting darker. This was also the episode where there was no sound at all during the main event, expect on the CW commercials, so production wise this was something of a disaster in Nashville. The audio is weird now too anyhow, it's like I have to really crank it up to hear it. It's like the show is getting worse production wise, and continues to not be a real hot show since staring on CW anyhow. Like I said the other day, this doesn't have the look of a group poised for any kind of a jump up.
You mentioned this was the 4th show in a row that Cassidy Riley has been in the main event, My question would be has he came off like a main eventer in any of them? Granted, this one I watched with no sound, but it came off like more of the same.
The finish of Hammerjack vs Casey was dumb looking, I think it's the kind of "Nashville style" thing SAW needs to get away from doing if they want to jump up. It's akin to the ridiculously long ref distraction spots.
DKE vs LT & Vordell was ok, but....far from great, the issues you mentioned down the stretch towards the finish duley noted.
You mentioned the low crowd at the Sawmill and not huge build for the Fairgrounds. Heck, they're not even mentioning at all the live shows at the Sawmill, nada, nothing. It's like they don't want to promote that at all for some weird reason, so the low crowd shouldn't be a surprise.
I agree that the mic work was decent this episode, overall though, I don't know, maybe I just expect more from these guys, these shows just aren't doing a lot for me. Trent
