Re: my thoughts on the Hasbro Marvel Legends I just bought
Herc's arms are too small. They look more like Walmart Thor. ML 3 Thor is what I'll use for arms for a Herc figure.
Hasbro really blew the face and general sculpt, though the paint job is not so bad. It would have been better if the nipples had been painted on. As it is, you've got a dark-haired man with ho body hair or nipples.
: I never had a problem with Thor's arms (or
: figure in general even though it was missing
: the 3rd row of armor circles) from Series 3
: but had read how a lot of people didnt care
: for the figure and thought boy would they
: laugh at Herc's triceps/biceps when they see
: him. I just wish when they re-did Thor
: several series later they would have just
: produced a KingThor, or better yet a Red
: Norvell figure (a personal favorite
: character of mine, but odds are we'll never
: see that figure in the ML line)

: I think ML 3 Thor's arms are the best in the
: ML line along with the Hulk series. Maybe
: I'll like Herc's.
: I like my super hero's body thick and
: muscular unless it's someone intended to be
: slim like Gambit, Long shot, Spider-Man and
: so on. I think I may be the only one..

: I'm in NorCal and just picked up the
: figure today (only collect Avengers-related
: so skipped the rest. passed on the dog/cat
: Beast too) and got to say I am very
: disappointed in Herc. The hands are molded
: fixed in place; the arms are not that easy
: to pose (and if you had a problem with how
: the 1st Thor's arms looked wait until you
: see what they did to Herc's); his mace IMO
: is too long and not keen on the transparent
: mace-head, plus doesn't fit tight in his
: hand; for the heighth of the figure the legs
: seem to be a little short. Nit-picking
: things like that.
: Hasbro packaging is totally different then
: the old style, kind of like it but the Power
: Grid is gone on the back, plus no bonus
: comic included.
: My biggest gripe is the store I bought it at
: (Target) sell MLs ToyBiz at $6.89 each, but
: priced the Hasbros at $9.99. My Walmart and
: Toys-R-Us sell the ToyBiz around $8.99 so it
: will be interesting to see what price they
: sell them for once they're in stock.
