I think some times artists decide to do something the way they think it would/should look instead of the way it has looked.

Captain Marvel, Falcon and Luke Cage are WAY slimmed down. The first two are supposed to weigh 240. Look at them next to Captain America. Luke Cage . . . they got his current stats just fine, but the figure is from the 70s when he weighed 300 lbs.

I fixed my Luke Cage's arms by switching them with ML 3 Thor. That still leaves his thighs too skinny, but I can switch those, perhaps, with ML 5 Sabretooth. I'd like to use Bishop's legs, but they joints are not the same.

Short-haired Wasp looks okay, but I'd rather have the longer-haired one.

Have you seen the prototype for Hasbro Annihilus Emma Frost? Golly, why bother? The reasoning is presumably that they are making a kids' toy. But Emme Frost is not a character written or drawn for kids. Make her the way she is drawn or don't make her. Marvel Select, poor though they are with articulation, at least know how to sculpt and paint a female figure.

: That's one thing that makes me think twice
: about getting the Blob (apart from the
: expense of the whole wave, not all of which
: I'm not interested in). The ML Blob looks
: more like Mike Myer's Fat B*stard than the
: comic Blob, especially with that triple or
: quadruple chin of his. I would've gladly
: taken a comic accurate Blob.

: If you do customs at all and don't care
    : about
: that lightning bolt, you can make
: Quicksilver with Dr Strange's head and legs
    : on Bullseye's torso.
    :
: Just paint the hair the right color and
: paint off the facial hair with testors 1170
    : tan. That's how I made mine.
    :
: I won't offer it for sale again because it
: costs too much to make and the Blob series
: Quicksilver is coming soon enough that
: nobody is going to pay $30+.
    :
: Does anyone else think the BAF figures are
: getting more sickening by the moment? Have
: you seen the thighs on Blob? They make me
: long for Mojo. In the books, Blob does not
: have such carefully sculpted cellulite.

: Well that box set Reed has too much of a
: lecherous grin, as if he's thinking dirty
: thoughts about Sue or someone else. I don't
: really think that is too fitting for either
: Reed or Quicksilver. The Quicksilver that
: we're getting in Hasbro ML2 is fine by me.

: The Reed Richards that came with the FF box
: set looks like Quicksilver much more than
: Reed, even the two hair loops make the
    : figure look like Quicksilver.
