Dear Julie, the side effects you mentioned would seem more THYROID involved because of no pituitary function. Is your weight loss (which I would love to have)because of thyroid issues or your medication. I must say, my endocrine doc seems to always wait until my numbers drop over the low line, but I am living through the effects of whatever is wrong prior to that. I seem to finally have gotten on the correct meds for the thyroid issues I now have because I no longer have a pituitary. Depression, loss of energy, loss of iniative. For such a while I would just cry about literally nothing. It was so embarassing. I work and by Sat. morning having early coffee I would just cry. I had a hard time getting up and just doing what I needed to at home. I gave my doc these descriptions and he finally seems to have gotten my meds correct. I do feel sooo much better. I will say again though, the side effects you are experiencing as well as I and others, are so much less recognized by family and friends than other ailments, diseases, etc. They seem less understood I think. They are very real as you all know. Simply sleeping with my head on my left side after a time will wake me up because most of my pressure is left. I will then turn to my right slowly and literally feel the change lifting in my head and above my nose. It's things like that people don't know or understand are issues with this. Thanks for talking. Reta.
