Posted by Sarah Sorry that was so long for a simple question. I am so glad to have found a place on the web with information as to what I am going through.

I am 18 years old. 4 years ago I noticed irregular periods. I saw what was then my peditrician. She drew blood and saw that my prolactin levels were hugely elevated. I went to pediactric endo and was put on parlodel. it did nothing for me and caused intolerable nausea. I was then switched to Dostinex. I had slight nausea when I first started but it tapered away. My periods came back and I lost close to 35 lbs. Then I moved across the country...Rewind 4 years to now. I Have gained 50+ lbs despite watching what I eat and being extremely active. I haven't been on Dostinex for 3 years. I saw an Endo a week ago and they took several blood tests but I don't know the results as of yet. I made sure to ask the Endo if weight gain was related to an increase of prolactin and he sayed it was not directly related, but all sites I have read saw otherwise. We don't have a large choice of Endo's in my area. Does anyone here follow a diet either in association with a med. or just a diet to help them with their hormone levels? Thank you.
