Pituitary Tumor and the Carotid Artery

First surgery pituitary tumor not fully removed was wrapped around carotid artery. Can this artery be compromised due to this tumor? Tumor as returned and is in sinus wall. Have had radiation. Now on growth hormone, synthroid, and hydracortisone.
