I just got diagnosed a few months ago. I started having really sharp piercing headaches in the summer and eventually went to the emergency room and they did a cat scan. that's when it was discovered. Even though they referred me back to my PCP, I instead did some internet reasearch to find the best Pituitary Specialist in my area (NYC). I found Dr. Vivianne Tabar at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Her office told me what tests I needed my PCP to send me for before coming to her office. All the tests confirmed what was on the Cat Scan. I finally had my tumor removed almost 2 weeks ago and I am going through my recovery period. I would encourage you to try to get at least a Cat Scan done.
