Hi there!
I had a prolactinoma, about 13 years ago. I had transpalatal surgery to remove it, and they put a piece of fat in place of the piece of tumor that they removed. My headaches got much worse after the operation and they diagnosed me with MRSA infection in my sinuses. I have had 13 more operations to try and keep the infection under control in my sinuses. It seems that the piece of fat has this super bug in it. They were going to remove the piece of fat, but decided not to on the morning of the surgery, because they said it would cause a brain leak or a brain bleed if they removed it. But now I must live with the pain. No doctor seems to understand this pain and they think that I just want the painkillers. Many times only a morphine or pethidine injection takes the pain away. Does anyone know of people who might have knowledge of how to break this infection. I have been on antibiotics for many years on and off but have now been on two strong antibiotics that I cant get off, because in three days the infection is hectic in my sinus and it gives me hectic pain and pressure in my head. Anyone know which direction I should go in? Thanks! Love Angie
