Hi Jason It sounds like your wife will be in good hands seeing a endocrinologist. Perhaps her tumor is the kind that they can shrink with medication. There are all types of these tumors. They tried the medications with me first, but my tumor was the type that didn't respond to the medication. Sometimes it takes time but my neurosurgeon wanted me to have the surgery becasuse of the size and location. So here is hoping that it will work for her. The endo will probably do bloodwork to determine hormone levels and how the pituitary is working. I am 60 years old and my tumor didn't cause me any problems until in 2004 when it was discovered when I went to my opthomologist for a routine visual field test as I have glaucomo. Tell your wife to hang in there and hope everything goes ok for her. If she has a good endo I am sure everything will work out for her.
