I was diagnosed with a macroadenoma pituitary tumor in November of 2004 and had surgery in April of 2005. Has your wife had an MRI yet to confirm her doctor's suspicions. A good neurosurgeon would be the next step if it is confirmed. They had me seeing an endocrinologist for about six months until my pituitary function returned to normal. My tumor has regrown and I am currently undergoing radiation. From what I understand most tumors are benign. There is a good website that I got on www.plwc.org that explains all about pituitary tumors, because I like you couldn't find much information about them.
