In April of 2005 I had surgery to remove a pituitary tumor and the doctors told me they were able to remove it all and pituitary functioning would be normal. Since then they have done followup MRI's to make sure the tumor hasn't returned. Well this past week I got the news from my neurosurgeon that the tumor is growing again. He has advised that I have radiation called Gamma Knife. He says that my pituitary may lose functioning and I will have to be on medications for the rest of my life. I have to go back in two weeks to see him. Is there anyone who has had this procedure done and can tell me what I can expect?
