I was reading some of the post in the guest book, and many of you are new with this same medical condition. I was operated on in Oct 2004 and they were able to remove 2/3s of the tumor. Right now the tumor is not growing or not shrinking. I know of another person who just weeks prior to mine, same surgeon same hospital went blind, because it was not caught in time. So i consider myself fortunate, but still concerned about my future. The one med that i take now to replace a missing hormone is aggravating, because it is an external med (androgel) that can pose a danger to those of the opposite sex and even my grand children. while i'm waiting each day for it to abosrb in my system i have to becareful of no skin to skin contact. for children and women who are breast feeding their little one it could cause great damage or death to small child. of all the stuff i'm facing that is probably the most scary and aggravating of all. But one other aggravation is people close to me can't understand some of the side effects of the tumor and the meds i take.
I have heard stories of others with this and they tumor has completely disappeared with dositnex and that is my hope. and Hopefully the pea size petuitary was not damage beyond hope if it does disappears. Feel free to write me if you like.
