Hi my names Judith, I was horrified to read of all your awfull symptoms. I had a good many of them including the huge uncontrollable weight gain and dry skin. My hair fell out and my face became so swollen that people hardly recognised me. I was diagnosed with a large prolactinoma for which I was prescribed dostinex. My thyroid also packed up and I was put on a high dose of thyroxin. None of the medication seem to make a huge amount of difference, but they must of done because my periods returned and my hair is just returning to normal after nearly 6 years. It is a huge strain to be so ill and I feel that people are largely unsympathetic because it is not an illness that they are familiar with. Alot of people put it down to greed and laziness.
