I had transphenoidal surgery to remove my pituitary in 2000. My case is detailed and complicated. At the time of my surgery the doctors told my wife that it was doubtful I would survive, and if I did I would probably be blind in one eye and brain damaged, From that difficult start the operation was a great success. My surgeon was highly skilled and experienced. However, I find that I'm altered in a variety of ways, many very subtle. The cortef and synthroid I have to take to stay alive have side affects and drawbacks. I've not worked since my operation. Physical strength is not a problem but physical and emotional stamina definitely is. Like I said, altered in many subtle ways. I no of no one who has gone through what I have. This message board looks gaudy and hard to follow but I'll post this and see what happens.
