Well, I took the niece back home. Cost me a fortune to get her there, she had to follow me in her car, I had to drive my truck which guzzles the gas....then there was the hotel room cost and food for us both, then I had to drive back by myself. It poured the entire way back, from Ft. Worth, Texas all the way to Tallahassee, Florida. Blinding rain. I wish it would come down here, we need it.
So I went from being debt free, with $10k in the bank in savings before the niece got here, to being slap broke and nearly $3,500 in debt. All so she could have what was basically a 6 months, all expense paid, "party" vacation. She flunked every class and caused a lot of talk about us around this small town. Then to top it off, now that she's home, she's running me down saying I was too strict and I wouldn't let her do anything that she wanted to do and she was glad to be away from me. Well, now she can stay out all night long, run around, do her drinking and drugging to her hearts content.
I guess the blessing in all of it is that I got to go back home and see my 95 nearly 96 year old grandmother (probably for the last time) and I got to see my horse, who has cancer and is dying. I got my pictures and videos of my grandparents, back from my ex husband finally. So it was good that I got to go back to Texas, but it was terribly depressing to hug my Grandmother good-bye cause I know I'm probably never going to see her again until we meet in heaven someday. It was sad to see my ex-husband again. He looks very bad and I don't think being divorced from me has been too good for him...but then again, he probably thought I looked hideous too, since I've gained about 55 pounds since we divorced and I went through menopause.
So that's life. Once I have my throat surgery, I'm going to have to take on a second job at night to knock down some of this debt. I'm going to have to charge the $1500 deductible I guess. I sure don't have the cash. I keep praying to God for a miracle.
Sorry to hear about your accident Rhonda. I was listening to a sermon on the radio today. It was about the disciples and Jesus, when they went out on the boat into the sea and that storm came up. The point the preacher was making was that even when your close to Jesus the seas can get stormy...and even the apostles were scared, sitting right there next to Jesus. So his closing thing was being a Christian is no guarantee that bad things aren't going to happen to us. I wish Jesus would back soon.
Take Care,
WW
