Posted by CHat on 7/20/2007, 9:49 pm, in reply to "Well nobody's going to....." And for your niece, that's a tough call. Sounds like stuck-in-a-rut laziness to me. I've sorta been there myself when I worked an evening job and then slept 'til noon. I didn't not clean up, though. Just did barely enough to get by. I have no idea if a learning disability would affect cleanliness or not. Sounds more like she just didn't have someone teach her how or give "rules, boundaries and limitations" in the words of Cesar Millan! And to overcome that at her age and in your situation, once again, I have no clue how to approach it. So prayers are all I can offer and you've definitely got them! I will share a bright spot of my own- I am a 43 year old, overweight, fatigued, type 1 diabetic (for 29 years)who has just taken up bike riding after 20 or so years of not riding! I hope this will help with the weight and fatigue, but I feel better mentally just to be doing it. So there! That's my most recent step toward self improvement. Weeeeee!!

Have you tried something OTC for the allergies like Claritin-D? It's now kept behind the pharmacy counter but you don't need an Rx. I have no idea if something like that could help or not. The ear pressure sounds awful. Insurance is such a P-I-T-Butt!!!
