Posted by Wauchula Woman on 7/20/2007, 6:37 pm I've been having an issue with my throat for about 3 months. I've seen one doctor twice and another doctor once about it so far. Both doctors say it is allergies and nothing to worry about. It's my voice, there are times when I can barely speak...most the time I am hoarse and it's very difficult to talk for any length of time. Not only that, but I just feel this pressure or something behind my ears all the time. It feels like they are about to explode. I'm not getting any relief from shots and steroids. I feel like crap most of the time nowadays. I'd go to an ear nose and throat specialist, but I'm having trouble getting my Cobra insurance going. So far, I've sent them nearly $900 and still United HealthCare is saying I don't have coverage. I talked to the people at Cobra today and they claim that all should be set up with United. I don't know what's wrong, so that can use some prayers too! Then there is my niece. She's nearly 19 years old. I promised her I'd put her through her first two years of college. She always wanted to go to college, all of her life. Well, I had no idea she was learning disabled. My sister had never bothered to have her tested or anything. She's basically been a neglected child. My sister like, just dumped her off here, I haven't heard a thing from her since. I don't even think my niece has heard from her. So anyway, here I am, a person who never had a kid of their own, with a 19 year old who's been basically unsupervised her entire life. She's a good kid, don't get me wrong. But I gave her the upstairs floor of my house, converted it into a little apartment for her. She's trashed it. She cannot/will not, keep it clean. I don't know if it's part of her learning disability or just plain laziness, but she won't pick up her clothes, won't clean the toilet/bathroom, won't even bring down her trash. I don't know what to think about it, I've shamed her, leaned on her about it, even went up there and cleaned it myself a couple times. I can't do anything with her. She and I are both looking for jobs. I stay at it all the time....she looks one day, then disappears into her room for a couple days. Like right now, it's 8:30 PM, she's just now come downstairs for the first time today. What she's been doing up there locked in with the blinds closed all day, I don't know. I've taken to calling her the vampire, because I don't see her until after dark, most of the time. I can't imagine moving into my Aunt's home and just trashing the rooms she had offered me. So we need prayers for all kinds of things right now, as you can see. Thanks,
