When my now deceased grandma was at the nursing home, there were several paid "sitters" there, keeping an eye on loved ones for people. Just making sure the nursing home did it's job. If their charge needed a "diaper" change, they rang for the CNA, they helped feed the person or brushed their hair and put their makeup on them, stuff like that. Most of them had two sitters, they took shifts. So that's something to think about. It's not nearly so difficult as what you've been doing. In fact, if I didn't need so much money to get by on right now, I'd love to do something like that. You seem to be like me, you have a "heart" for the elderly...a gift. Well, speaking of work, I need to head to bed. Good Night & God Bless.

down below, I think you'd make a great "sitter". Have you thought about that? Listen, around here there are a lot of people who work, who have elderly family members at home...not with Alzheimers, but maybe who just need help with day to day things. Like my 94 year old Grandma, she's still spry as the dickens, but she tends to fall, trying to get things off shelves and stuff. A lot of wealthier people or working people need someone to keep an eye on their elderly parent while they are at work. Or even do a "mother's day out" type thing. You've certainly got the qualifications. There are ads in our paper off and on all the time for someone to sit with an elderly person during working hours, cook them a meal and do light housekeeping. Stuff like that.
