Definitely planning on heading to South Africa. Indirect flights shouldn't be excessively pricy and cost of living once you're there is pittance. I'm planning on hiring a motor and travelling around as and when required, Stu. Best way to do it IMHO, hopefully England will be in(assuming we qualify, obviously) the group with matches in Durban and along the garden route. If not it might be worth doing that anyway. I've no desire to spend any time in the likes of Rustenberg.
Student loans don't extend to funding a trip to Kazakhstan so I'll be giving that one a miss. Cheapest package I've seen offered is a 'daytrip' at just shy of a grand, and I've no desire to spend 7 hours each way on a plane and get into ridiculous debt for the privilege.
