Playing Peter Crouch on his own up front, with Kieron Dyer just behind him explains the chronic inability to get anywhere near the Spain goal. As soon as that was announced the day before you knew we were never going to score. One guy came in 5 minutes into the second half, sat in front of me, shouted incessant abuse at McLaren for 15 minutes before storming out of the ground. At least the mindless cretins who insisted on having to have an English manager for the English national team are happy.
